Dr. Roebuck is the Principal and Owner of YER Strategic Solutions and has accumulated more than 35+ years in marketing, communications, workplace development, DEIB and business leadership while working in the corporate, higher education and nonprofit sectors. She has been considered a catalytic change agent. For the past four organizations where she was employed, Yvonne was hired as the first person to lead their specific needs. At Vibrant Pittsburgh she developed strategic relationships to build the infrastructure to lead, launch, and promote diversity and inclusion programs and initiatives nationally, regionally, and locally. These efforts resulted in a comprehensive talent attraction plan designed to increase the flow of diverse talent pursuing, securing, and retaining job opportunities in the Pittsburgh region. She was responsible for developing marketing, fundraising, promotional and communications strategies to grow the organization. Currently, Dr. Roebuck is providing project management services for her clients. In addition, Yvonne is serving as a DEI Facilitator for the Greater Pittsburgh YWCA.

As a researcher, Yvonne is a strong proponent of “what gets measured, matters”. She creates metrics and reporting mechanisms to effectively measure, track and report companies’ progress toward their goals. She utilizes and maintains metrics to inform and influence strategic planning and decision-making. In addition to analyzing data to identify significant differences, relationships, and trends, Dr. Roebuck is skilled in presenting strategies and complex subject matter in an easily understandable manner to various audiences from corporate leadership teams to community members.

Yvonne earned her Doctor of Education degree in Leadership and Administration at Point Park University. She earned an Executive MBA from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a BS in Marketing from Clarion University. She was named one of Pittsburgh’s 50 Most Influential African American Women by the New Pittsburgh Courier and is a graduate of XXV Leadership Pittsburgh. Dr. Roebuck has led and served on various nonprofit boards in the Pittsburgh region throughout her career.
